Follow a Love that Saves

The world around us defines love in many ways. Jesus didn’t offer a definition, he gave a commandment and his life.

Jesus is asked and tells us in Matthew 22:36-39-

36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”    37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

God gave us life because He is Love. He saved us for the same reason.

John 316 heart

Jesus came to give us life but not just a ho-hum existence-he wants us to have life abundantly!  As He tells us in John 10:10-

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Living an abundant life begins as Jesus commands: loving God with our soul, mind and heart.  In order to live that command, we must pay attention to all three-soul, mind and body.

The more I help people with their mind wellness, the more I continue to see the connection between all three.

As we begin another Lenten season on Wednesday, I invite you to join me on a Lenten Wellness Journey.  Come along on the blog, social media and in person as I continue to explore the interconnection of wellness in soul, mind and body following his footprints to the cross. I pray you’ll be inspired, encouraged and come closer to Him and your wellness as we journey.

See you on Wednesday…
